I just read the and N&O article regarding your position on removing SROs from wake County public school. As I assume you saw in the letter to the editor I wrote last week I totally support that however the only option to their removal is replacing them with qualified school counselors. Presently the ratio is 700 : 1. At a minimum it should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 : 1. Don’t call for removal without demanding replacement with qualified counselors

Dear Rukiya and friends, The best way to help students and teachers is to have them taught the Transcendental Meditation technique. It’s being used in schools all over the world. Everyone is taught—parents, teachers, school boards, principals and students. To find out what happens, look at www.tm.org, www.tmeducation.org, www.tmbusiness.org, www.doctorsontm.org. To get financial help for any school, ask the David Lynch Foundation. They have a website and have been funding this for some time.
